A few hours ago we shared an update to the Disney Genie program, which will be releasing on October 19th at Walt Disney World.
Now, it’s Disneyland’s turn for some details. As we already knew, the base Genie program offers park itineraries, wait times, restaurant reservations, and mobile ordering, among other features.
Genie+ in Disneyland Resort is a paid service set at $20 per day per park guest, which functions much like the park’s MaxPass program used to, allowing a reservation of one attraction Lightning Lane at a time throughout the day. Disneyland’s version of Genie+ also includes Photopass downloads.
List of Lightning Lane Attractions
Disney has released a list of attractions for both Disneyland parks featuring Lightning Lane access:
Disneyland
- Autopia
- Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
- Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters
- Haunted Mansion
- Indiana Jones Adventure
- “it’s a small world”
- Matterhorn Bobsleds
- Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run
- Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin
- Space Mountain
- Splash Mountain
- Star Tours – The Adventures Continue
Disney California Adventure
- Goofy’s Sky School
- Grizzly River Run
- Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT!
- Incredicoaster
- Monsters, Inc. Mike & Sulley to the Rescue!
- Soarin’ Around the World
- Toy Story Midway Mania
As you might notice, there are a few key attractions missing from the lists above. That’s because they are the select attractions reserved for the Genie’s Individual Attraction Selection program. In this program, guests may choose to pay for access to the Lightning Lanes of these select high-demand rides in the parks.
Individual Attraction Selections (paid a la carte)
Here are the attractions included in the Individual Attraction Selection program (and therefore not included in the Genie+ program):
Disneyland
- Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance
Disney California Adventure
- Radiator Springs Racers
- WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure
Pricing has not yet been revealed for these attractions, though we expect that to come very soon. Whatever those prices may be, guests should remember that Disneyland will always maintain an option to ride standby (or virtual queue).
Disney has not yet announced a release date for Disneyland’s Genie program, but stay tuned for more details, sure to be released soon!
