Several juicy nuggets of Disney parks and entertainment news dropped in the last few days. Let’s take a quick-hit look at the latest information around the Disney Parks, Experiences, and Entertainment.

Walt Disney World

A little bit of resort news is happening at the Most Magical Place on Earth.

Disney’s Pop Century Resort

This guest-favorite value resort is fresh off a major facelift. The newly reimagined lobby is bright and energetic. New touches include vibrant floor-to-ceiling artwork inspired by pop culture from the 1950s-1990s and larger-than-life illustrations of Disney’s Fab Five. Disney’s designers reconfigured part of the lobby to add more seating, including communal tables that give guests more places to sit, recharge, or get a little work done.

Disney Imagineers brought Pop Century’s playful, decade-inspired style into refreshed rooms through a brighter color palette and layered textures. Warm, wood-toned flooring and a geometric inset area contrast with pops of blue, gray, green, and orange, with soft sky-blue accents near the bed wall and bathroom. Refreshed curtains and patterned upholstery add extra personality, with subtle touches — including Hidden Mickeys in the chair fabric — that keep the space feeling unmistakably Disney while still clean, comfortable, and functional.

Petals Pool Bar has been newly refreshed with tile details adding texture and color behind the bar, and clear digital menu boards to make ordering simple.

Pro Tip: Pop Century is one of the hotels participating in Disney’s Airport Luggage Transfer pilot program, inviting eligible guests staying at select Disney Resort hotels the option to transfer luggage to and from Orlando International Airport when flying with participating airlines.

Disneyland Paris

Walt Disney Studios Park will be officially renamed Disney Adventure World when World of Frozen opens on March 29, 2026. This expansion nearly doubles the size of the park and introduces a host of new experiences extending beyond the Frozen theme, including a Tangled-inspired attraction, 15 brand-new dining locations (opening gradually), and a stunning lake that will debut an all-new nighttime spectacular.

World of Frozen

World of Frozen immerses guests in the kingdom of Arendelle with a charming village, a family boat adventure, a lively daytime celebration, royal encounters with Anna and Elsa, and themed shops and dining.

A Celebration in Arendelle: The magic of Arendelle comes alive across the water on three exquisitely crafted boats in this open-air show. Guests can sing along to favorites like “Let It Go” and “Show Yourself,” accompanied with brand-new music composed exclusively for Disneyland Paris by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez (who created the music for the Frozen films).

Character Meet and Greets

Rencontre Royale: Guests can meet Anna and Elsa in Arendelle Castle  – a one-of-a-kind location inspired by the Frozen films.

Be sure to keep an eye out for familiar faces throughout Arendelle, such as Oaken or Mossie, an adorable baby troll eager to make new friends.

A brand new cutting-edge Olaf robotic character is taking Disney social by storm. He may make occasional special appearances in Arendelle, but as of now he won’t be available to meet guests as part of everyday park operations.

Food

Nordic Crowns Tavern: This quick-service restaurant welcomes the spirit of Arendelle, serving Nordic-inspired cuisine during both lunch and dinner.

Shopping

Coming to a Theater Near You

Disney just dropped dates for a couple new films coming in 2028.

A sequel to the 2025 live-action hit is currently planned for a Memorial Day weekend release of May 26, 2028. The 2025 Lilo & Stitch was also released for Memorial Day, and hit a holiday opening record with $182 million over four days. It was also the first to cross the billion-dollar mark in 2025. Needless to say, Stitch has big coconuts to fill.

Incredibles 3

The third installment of one of Pixar’s tentpole franchises will be releasing on June 16, 2028 – just a few short weeks after Lilo & Stitch. The franchise has enjoyed a slow, controlled burn, with the previous two Incredibles films – released in 2004 and 2018 – combining to earn $1.87 billion at the global box office. Incredibles franchise filmmaker Brad Bird is writing and producing the film, with Elemental (2023) filmmaker Peter Sohn directing.

Tangled

A live-action remake of one of Disney’s most popular princess film recently added a huge shot of star-power, announcing that Kathryn Hahn will be joining the cast as the villain Mother Gothel. Hahn – who is already immortalized in Disney circles as Agatha Harkness in the Marvel shows WandaVision and Agatha All Along – has long been viewed by fans as the perfect casting choice for Mother Gothel, so it is no surprise that this announcement came with grand applause. Hahn joins a cast currently featuring Teagan Croft as Rapunzel and Milo Manheim as Flynn Rider. Disney has not yet set a release date for the film.

Moana

Disney released a new trailer for this live-action reimagining of Disney’s 2016 animated adventure which follows Moana – a Polynesian chieftain’s daughter – as she sails out on a daring mission to save her struggling island.
