Walt Disney World is home to over 25 resort hotels. Add in three more at Disneyland, plus a host of non-theme park-based resorts (Aulani, Vero Beach, etc.) and it can be hard to keep them all straight!

Back in June, planDisney (formerly known as the Disney Parks Moms panel) started releasing “pocket guides” for select Disney resorts.

These guides take the form of 5-6 page PDF slides, which are easily printable and savable to smart devices. They offer efficient snapshots of the resort basics, including:

  • Transportation options
  • Room sizes
  • Food and beverage options and locations
  • Pools and recreation activities
  • Shopping
  • Tips from the planDisney panel

These guides are especially helpful to guests who have never visited WDW, haven’t been for quite a while, or are new to a particular resort.

planDisney just released the newest installment of the pocket guides series on Disney Parks Blog, giving users the low-down on Disney’s Wilderness Lodge. While most of the information is basic nuts ‘n bolts, you’ll always find a nugget or two that you may not have known about.

For instance, the Wilderness Lodge Pocket Guide clues guests in on a fun self-guided Hidden Mickey hunt. I did this with my family a few years ago, and it was a blast. And as an added bonus, the treasure hunt will lead guests into the vicinity of the Carolwood Pacific Railroad Room, which is one of the best hidden gems in all of WDW.

In addition to Disney Parks Blog, planDisney also releases the pocket guides via Instagram.

Following their IG feed may be the best way to stay updated on the newest releases. We’ll continue to update this list of pocket guides as planDisney releases them.
