Disneyland will be celebrating Halloween in its usual charming style, with ghoulish delights (and of course, the super popular Oogie Boogie Bash). There are also plenty of room and ticket discounts available to save on the fun while staying in the middle of the magic. The time to book is now, so you get your choice of the best deals and party dates!
Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort
Halloween Time officially runs from August 21 through October 31 at Disneyland Resort. Tricks and treats will be available for all, including these favorites:
- Mickey and friends will be decked out in frightfully festive attire on Main Street U.S. A.
- Haunted Mansion Holiday returns with a new gingerbread house in the ballroom.
- Main Street Pumpkin Festival will wow guests with supremely talented designs.
- “Halloween Screams” nighttime spectacular will give Disney Villains top billing with colorful projections on Sleeping Beauty Castle, Main Street, U.S.A., “it’s a small world,” and the Rivers of America.
- Cars Land celebrates the spooky season with seasonal attraction overlays Mater’s Graveyard JamBOOree and Luigi’s Honkin’ Haul-O-Ween.
- Guardians of the Galaxy – Monsters After Dark sends guests on a chase for Groot. This overlay of Mission: BREAKOUT runs from roughly 2:00 or 3:00 PM until close each night during the spooky season.
- Mickey’s Trick and Treat stage show at the Disney Theater is a kid-oriented “costume party where trick-or-treaters laugh, dance, enjoy a not-so-scary story, and take home a special treat.”
- Pixar Place Hotel will boast new decor inspired by Monsters, Inc., and Disneyland Hotel will be shrouded in some Haunted Mansion-inspired touches.
- Seasonal character dining will be available at several locations:
- Storytellers Cafe at Disney’s Grand Californian will host Mickey’s Autumn Adventures for breakfast and brunch and Clarabelle’s Enchanted Halloween Dinner in the evenings.
- At Disneyland Hotel, Goofy’s Kitchen Celebrates Halloween will offer fun-filled dining throughout the day.
- Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit sends guests searching both parks and Downtown Disney looking for the perfect collection of pumpkins.
Pro Tip: “World of Color – ONE” will return to Disney California Adventure for a limited time, beginning August 10 and lasting through the Halloween season.
Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party
This fan-favorite separate-ticket event transforms Disney California Adventure park into a family-friendly, frightfully fun after-hours event filled with tricks and treats!
The 2026 Oogie Boogie Bash dates will run on 33 select nights from Tuesday, August 18 through Saturday, October 31, including:
- August 18, 20, 23, 25, 27, and 30
- September 1, 3, 6, 8, 10, 13, 15, 17, 20, 22, 24, 27 (exclusive to D23 members), and 29
- October 1, 4, 6, 8, 11, 13, 15, 18, 20, 22, 25, 27, 29, and 31
The party officially runs from 6:00 p.m. to 11 p.m., but guests attending the party may enter the park as early as 3:00 p.m. These three hours are a great time to experience some of the park’s magic before the party officially begins!
Tickets are available beginning June 17, 2026 for all Magic Key holders, and are available to the general public beginning June 18, 2026. Many of the party dates will sell out quickly, so get them soon if you want to party with all the other happy haunts!
Oogie Boogie Bash-specific entertainment and offerings include:
- New for 2026 – “Madame Leota’s Swinging Wake – A Haunted Mansion Street Party” will replace the Frighteningly Fun Parade. The street party will bring familiar and iconic moments from the Haunted Mansion to the streets of Disney California Adventure.
- Festive character greetings, including Oogie Boogie himself. Other notable characters in recent years have included Agatha Harkness, Judge Doom, the trio of Minnie Mouse, Daisy Duck, and Clarabelle Cow dressed up as the Sanderson Sisters from Hocus Pocus, and many more.
- Villains Grove overlay of Redwood Creek Challenge Trail, inspired by villains like the Wicked Queen, Dr. Facilier, and others.
- Immersive Treat Trails – perfect for trick-or-treating.
- Oogie Boogie Bash Dessert Party (extra cost – includes yummy treats themed to The Nightmare Before Christmas, and preferred seating for the street party).
- Party-specific food, drinks, and merchandise.
- Returning for 2026 – Oogie Boogie Bash VIP Tour: Starting August 30, 2026, guests may experience the ultimate VIP treatment this Halloween season with a VIP Tour that includes both Park Hopper admission and event tickets to Oogie Boogie Bash – all while being escorted through both parks by a dedicated VIP Tour Guide. Includes expedited access to attractions and select Oogie Boogie Bash event experiences, an exclusive VIP Lounge Experience at Carthay Circle Restaurant, and more! Plaza de la Familia at Disney California Adventure Park
Plaza de la Familia at Disney California Adventure park will celebrate the spirit of Día de los Muertos from August 21 through November 2.
- “The Storytellers of Plaza de la Familia Celebrate the Musical World of Coco!” performs songs like “Remember Me” and “The World Es Mi Familia.”
- Paradise Garden Bandstand will offer live mariachi music.
- Décor inspired by Día de los Muertos will also be found in a vibrant installation in Disneyland near Rancho del Zocalo Restaurante.
